View Full Version : Sorry to bring this up again...
Firstly, I believe Darren and John and the rest of the KMWW crew are the real deal..I just have a question though. I'm sure you've seen that interview on the USADojo website. I think that's the one, where the guy asks the questions and every response from Darren is supposedly, \"No Response.\"
Can anyone clarify the facts in question and whether that interview is credible...No response for EVERY question seems a bit farfetched..
Thanks!

This was a Bush League ambush. No response to every question wasn't his answers. They sent him all of these questions and, because it was an ambush, he ignored them. Now they can list every question with \"no response\" and make it seem more than it is. Why would he have to defend himself to these people?
Darren, John and the people behind Krav are smart. For years they taught Krav Maga for no money because they loved teaching Krav and making people safer and Darren truly wanted to make Imi's dream a reality. They were smart in that they built a well ran business, unlike a lot of other \"martial art\" systems.
Now, that there is money being made they are being attacked. The article on that websight seems to be totally influence by Mr. Yanilov. Imi's wish was that Darren grow and build Krav in the U.S. and that Mr. Yanilov grow it in the rest of the world. Imi would be absolutely heart broken over what it happening. Greed is screwing up Imi's dream. The U.S., because of Darren's hard work, is a great market. Mr. Yanilov is in the U.S. for one reason only, he saw the money being made here. There were agreements in place that he is ignoring, from my understanding.
Darren has built a profitable business and is now being attacked. Before he did all of the work that has made Krav what it is today nobody was griping about all of this. Selfish, greedy people want to make money off of other's work. Again, Imi would be heart broken.

After looking more extensively into the sight I see more than Mr. Yanilov's fingerprints. The sight seems to be good buddies with Mr. Aizik. He is the \"combat Krav Maga\" guy. Again, Krav Maga was making money so everyone and their brother has a \"better\" Krav Maga. Looking over some of the techniques that this guy has invented has me rolling my eyes. Why do people (like Mr. Aizik and the Haganah guy) think that their one brain can come up with better techniques than a whole organization and country (Israel)? Can you say EGO?! Krav has been more battle tested than anything else out there. If there are better ways of doing anything they have found it, trust me. It's not ego, it's life and death for the IDF.
Money can make good people do immoral things.

For the record: the people on that site are friends with Moni Aizik. They posted those questions without ever sending them to either Darren or to our organization, and then claimed that Darren was ignoring them. I wrote a message to them stating that fact, and only after my letter did they send the questions to us.
Most of the questions don't deserve an answer. Personally, I have begun following the advice of a dear friend: \"Don't wrestle with pigs. You only get dirty and the pig likes it.\"
Was going to let this go past but i can't stand this back biting diatribe from all sides. I don't see once in any blog or forum where Mr. Aizik or Mr. Yanilov attack this group (KMAA). Not saying it does not come to their mind but I don't see any direct quotes from either. What I do know is they both were there at the beginning in support of Imi, and his ideals. In one instance, one of them was asked to develope a system(with Imi) with which to teach the IDF.
As far as the whole American thing, KMAA built it, should be recognised for it. And by the grace of God, all KM systems, no matter the name, should work together for the greater good (THE PEOPLE) and stop this \"it's my sandbox\" horse****!

Okay.......................
Dude, look at the questions/accusations on that sight. That was an attack. Guess what, those questions weren't just thought up by Mr. USAdojo Intern. Open your eyes. Those were written by someone with knowledge of what's going on and with an agenda. That was a totally uncalled for, vicious attack on an organization and on a good man by someone who wants to profit by doing so.

My offer is this for anyone, who belive Moni Aizik is equal level to Darren or Eyal.
Watch his video. After that watch Darren's - Eyal's video. Now, if you see similarities, that means maybe the source is - Imi - the same. If you see not really any similar things, somebody is not really telling the truth.
I have been several times in Israel, met with the people were working under Imi for 10-20 years, and none of them even remember Moni Aizik.
I am not saying Mr. Aizik not a god fighter or he is not in good shape or his techniques are no good. I am only saying, nobody ever mentioned his name in Israel, nobody remembered him as the co-founder as he calls himself.
In my country we also have many so called KM masters, and sooner or later it turned out, they have nothing to do with KM, never worked under Imi. Takes time...
Not too long ago I posted about this very same article (as a newbie to Krav who was just interested and un-informed). I wasn't given these answers or explanations... that particular portion of my post was just deleted with an apology...
I can see the attack now, but back then, deleting it w/o much of an explanation or comment didn't make much of a case for KMAA. I almost gave up on Krav all together after that because I wasn't sure what I was getting into at that point!
Glad I stuck with it though, I can see now that the article in question was definately a one sided attack with an agenda unfavorable to Mr. Levine.

I just read it (skimmed). Seems like this could be a case of libel, hmm?

I guess there are some questions one could ask Moni Aizik as well, such as \"Why did you change the name of your system from 'Combat Survival' to 'Commando Krav Maga', only after others had made the name of 'Krav Maga' well known in the US and Canada?\" or \"Why do you call yourself the 'co-founder' of a system that you are not even teaching?\", but I suppose Mr Aizik won't be available to answer those questions either....

Who really cares...
It is what it is and there will be no suprises down the road.
Searching on a topic can eliminate half the questions on this subject anyways.
Someone smarter than us saw a way to capitalize on something and do it legally, and at the same time provide a service to many communities across the country.
This is not a charity and those that run the show should be able to profit from it as well as protect their investment.
There are plenty of companies much larger than KM who would love to occupy a nice office building in West Los Angeles.
If you can honestly read that interview and think it is not a joke than you have bigger issues than learning how to defend yourself.
Dead subject as far as myself and many others are concerned.
