working out with Bas's side B -Thai-Boxing tape between round three and four Bas says "don't forget to breath...its very important to breath... cracked me up.

It is funny, but 'tis important too. When I first started KM often my seasoned classmates would tell me to "breath" during the 30second drills. I kept thinking "duh, of course I'm breathing"... untill I realized that I was actually holding my breath during the drill. I think I was so tensed up, I even locked up my diaphram... So, essentially I did "forget to breath"... Now, the "ssss" exhale comes naturally.

It's a good idea to consciously watch your breathing during drills and especially during sparring. I had the same experience, where I'd get so tired after just one round or two, until I realized that I was often holding my breath. Now I try to be aware of it as much as possible and as a result I feel I last much longer.
