Most of the wavemaster punching bag bases are part filled with water. One base is filled with sand.We were divided into groups of two, each group given a cloth belt.
The belt is placed on the plastic shaft just below the padded column(right above the top of the base.On one side, one person holds the ends of the belt ,facing the bag & pulls, the other team member is low on the other side of the base & pushes.Once the bag has been dragged across the lenght of the room, the partners switch places.
After three rounds,talk about gasping & red-faced looks...wow!
Guess who had the one filled with sand?

We do the belt around your partner and (s)he has to run to the other side of the gym and punch the bag.

We've done a similar drill with three people on a team, cloth martial arts belt, and kicking shield or focus mitts. One person holds the shield or focus mitts, one person is a puncher with belt around their waist and the third person holds the belt. As the pad holder moves backward down the room the puncher has to follow punching the pad. The thrid person adds resistance to the puncher by holding him back with a little resistance using the belt. After a couple times up and down the room they switch positions.
Question, wouldn't dragging the wave ppunching bag accross the floor eventually cause damage to the floor or the bottom of the wave bag?

We do something similar; we run around the gym dragging the belt holder behind us until a signal, at which point we must locate our bag holder, run to them, and punch as hard and fast as we can. I find this to be one of the most exhausting drills we do.

We have done both, but the pulling of the partner is great. They especially appreciate the "Yah Mule " comments. Give it a try, It inspires. rofl2

The whole floor is covered with a padded mat.It isn't leaving any visible marks when done.

I'm a complete smart arse in class. You'll hear me say stuff "ok princess, lets try punching more and stop trying to slap me", "Hey cupcake we are doing chokes not trying to date me".
My training partners are eager to return the jabs and we take it in good fun. So you can imagine the things I am saying when I have my buddy in the belts.
But it works for us! We don't have to spend that initial time trying to boost our egos and peacock for each other. We blew that out the window the first day. rofl2
"Kee YAAAA mule, you ain't punching my bag today"
