What a friggin awesome time we had today! Lots of ladies joined us at Pete's Self Defense Seminar! Today was lots on ground techniques (shrimping, kicks) and plenty of elbows, knees, palm strikes, etc. All these all came into play when after their training they were sent to the home invasion apartment to put it all in action!!

All the ladies had to go through it twice - once to be attacked while sleeping in a bedroom and another time to be attacked either in the kitchen or living room. Believe me when I say it was VERY REAL - these women had one hell of a training session!

Congrats to all the ladies who made it today. To those who didn't, keep checking the website for Pete's place to see when the next seminar is:D:

That is great to hear. I couldn't make it down there for the session as my dissertation seems to be taking an unkindly turn towards the proverbial crapper right now and I spent the day trying to figure out how to convince the maintenance guys to help me keep my area secure. I found out that the maintenance guys will do anything for cookies and beer!

Maybe next time....As I am off to make a gazillion chocolate chip cookies now

:wav:Oh bummer girl - they'll be another one. Great thing is the seminars never the same but you so learn alotthumbsup.

Hubby and I have helped at just about every seminar - we've only missed 1 cause they had plenty of instructors and another hubby couldn't make it.

The apt attacks - wow!! Of course we need a new door now from all the kick ins Pete didrofl2rofl2
