Gear Recommendations for a Newbie!

Hi All!

First time poster...long time reader ;-)

I just recently passed my level 1 test and need some shin guards and boxing gloves for level 2. Can anyone recommend some good, moderately priced gear. All help is appreciated! Thanks!

for shin/instep pads, i personally prefer the Krav Maga shin pads made by revgear. Been using them for 7 years now, and they havn't shown any signs of falling apart. any kind of boxing gloves will do, most of our students use everlast 14oz or 16oz. everlast boxing helmets seem to be their helmet of choice too. i'm using a TKD sparring helmet which sucks against straight punches to the face.

ask around your school too, and take a look at revgear.com. i've never had problems with any revgear product. hope this helps a bit.
