Hey everyone. My name's Stu, I live in Colorado. Just started taking Krav Maga classes 2 weeks ago. Have only gotten to go to a couple of classes seeing as the training center was closed for a while for the holidays. I'm loving the hell out of it though. I've only had very light formal training in fighting/self-defense many years ago. I tend to have good instincts though (including knowing when to avoid physical confrontation by all means necessary) and have not lost an actual "street fight".
I mostly decided to take the classes to solidify technique & the muscle memory required to protect yourself in a violent situation and learn the most effective means to incapacitate a person that decides to attack me or someone I care about.
Most areas in Colorado aren't very rough, but I'm originally from NJ (Camden area, right across the Delaware River from Philly) so I constantly have this deeply ingrained alertness to any possibly dangerous situation. So I just like to know I would be prepared to deal with any possible situation like that. Lol. Who would have thought? Jersey is good for something.
Anyway, yeah, I don't know. I'm 24 years old, going to college right now. Fine Arts major (getting a degree in professional bum-ology). Looking forward to getting to know people on here and possibly learn a few things.
