  • Filipino martial arts

I'm interested in cross-training in Kali, Escrima or Arnis — some kind of Filipino martial arts. Which of these is most effective, most applicable in real life and most likely to merge well with (or helpfully contrast with) my Krav Maga training (lvl 3).

    Hey John

A lot of us do cross train in FMA, I did Doce Pares Eskrima for many years. I know forums member "Don" is also a devout practitioner. I think it boils down to your location and what's available near you.

    Maybe Don will chime in.
I believe that self-defense is a moral imperative, and that illegitimate force and illegal violence must be met with righteous indignation and superior violence.

    But hey, thats just me.

Not familiar with it. I googled and this Arnis is interesting.

I would choose Arnis, It:s an exercise program and also a fighting art.
Arnis as a fighting art has proven its potency through centuries of warfare but how will it pass as an effective exercise program?

It's a very impressive fighting art, indeed!
