Sorry, but another "is this legit" thread...
Hi, am new to the forum!
I have wanted to start Krav Maga for a while, and am thinking of joining here http://www.kravmaga-nottingham.co.uk/, but I've seen so many threads on the internet about fakes. But I'm pretty sure this is legit, and in fact very good as you can get to the website from here http://kravmaga-ikmf.co.uk/ and the chief instructor is listed as a Continental Instructors Team Expert 1 on the IKMF website.
I did tae-kwon do when I was younger, but recently my desire to learn krav maga was greatly increased when I was surrounded by 3 men on a dark street (something like F.A.S.T training would have been a great help I think?). Luckily I am quite good at talking my way out of things, but I was very nervous, and dread to think what would have happened if they had started to beat on me, let alone had a knife.
Only downside, I have to wait until October to start :'(
P.S. Does anyone know links to sylbasses for the practitionar levels for IKMF?

Just do a google search for the curriculum. It is extremely hard to get Expert status in the IKMF, I've been told. My instructor is ranked G5 and will train another year before testing for E1. There are maybe a handful of IKMF Experts outside of Israel and testing must be performed in Israel in front of the testing committee. Good luck.

Re: Sorry, but another "is this legit" thread...
IKMF is definitely a legit org, so it's just a matter of verifying that they really are affiliated (I'd guess that they are, as they'd probably be in for some legal trouble posting the logos and stuff on their website without permission).
I've tried looking for the IKMF curriculum before to compare what's taught at which level to the KMWW curriculum. I was only able to find a complete list of techniques broken down by area, not level (ie a section for all the kicks, a section for all the choke defenses, etc).

This was from googling ikmf p1 syllabus. I don't have time right now to check, but I would bet they have P1-5.
Off to kick someone in the balls. See you.

Hi Alpha, I can confirm that the Nottingham club is the real deal. The main instructor was UK director for IKMF, before he moved further up the ladder. I train at a satellite club, but have trained with him and he really knows his stuff.
