Shouldn't you include an over 40 category? I'm not in it, but we got plenty of people above 40 and some of those are a lot tougher than the young kids!!!

To me, it looks like nobody is responding, just saying \"oh you should have added this group etc. etc.\" I will say I belong in the 18-30 group. :)

i'm 46 and love going to my krav classes. been going for about 4 months. i've always maintained some sort of decent physical shape, i.e. distance running etc... but krav really gives me an all around workout. the average age in my class is probably mid-thirties, to mid forties. i just think krav offers all age brackets a way to stay in great shape, and learn self defense as well. there are very few 20 somethings in my class. they also teach kenpo at my school, where i see the majority of the youngins working out. frankly at 46, i don't want to take the time to learn all the karate forms, etc. krav is a great sport for us old folks(lol)

I'm 45.
Funny though. When I was a kid I used to think that was old.
I don't train in Krav Maga. Not one close enough unless I want to drive 50 miles each way.

Looks like there are a lot of people over the age of 40. It's good that you are learning self-defense and keeping in shape along the way!

Hello!!!
Why does the age survey only go to 40? I personally am 51.
Do you feel anyone over 40 is incapable or what?

age
I'm a 36 year old school teacher. I was active as a teenager and college student but became a computer nerd and got into online gaming - and a few lbs overweight. Last year I said, \"enough!\" and decided to be more active. I found Krav and haven't looked back - or played any computer games!

I'm 50 this July.
I just started in Krav.
My previous training was a smattering of different forms when I was in the Army...back in the..ummmm...70's..
I am a runner 5k, 10k, and Half Marathons, and a weight lifter.

Decided to join up to respond that I am almost 67. Just completed my level 1 test last week--four hours including fitness, review, and test. I can hold my own with most of the youngsters, and our great instructors don't cut me any slack--which is what I like. We have a 72 year old who recently got a pacemaker implanted, and who is back in cardio classes.

Funny you should mention Logan's Run because last night I was watching \"I Love the 90's part Duex\" on VH1 and they mentioned Logan's Run. What exactly is that movie about? Looked like an interesting movie. Sorry to get off topic.

Leftie79- \"Funny you should mention Logan's Run because last night I was watching \"I Love the 90's part Duex\" on VH1 and they mentioned Logan's Run. What exactly is that movie about? Looked like an interesting movie. Sorry to get off topic.\"
Logan's Run is a 1970's Sci-Fi cult movie about a city in the year 2274 where everyone lives happily in paradise until you turn 30. Once you're birthday comes and the crystal in your hand changes color you must go to \"carrousel\" where you get sent to eternity and supposed rebirth. So those who don't want to get re-born, run and are hunted down.
Fun movie starring Michael York and a short appearence by a young Farrah Fawcett.

Thanks! Sounds like a movie I will have to rent.
Speaking of age, do you think most of you have more older people--over 50 or a lot of younger --20s? Or is it about equal?

+40 gang
I've been alive for 42 years.
I'm told that I act like I'm 22 years old.
Physically, I feel like I'm 62 years old.
That averages out to... yeah 42.
