Pete's Place is gonna get bigger!!
Pete's Place here in San Antonio is gonna be getting bigger come January. He found new space and the center's moving! It's gonna rock - I believe we were told the new place will be..drum roll... 18,000 SQUARE FEET!!

 A few of Pete's cardio classes - dangit I keep missing them. Get this - doing cardio while also learning STICK FIGHTING, and I DON'T mean defenses against someone coming at you with it. You've got the stick. I cant wait to hear about the new classes they've got cooking

I HAD to bring this thread back up. Pete posted the layout for his new place.
OMG - The place is over 21,000 SQUARE FEET!! What's to come - 4 training rooms, a cycling room, an MMA room, a shooting range (no live rounds though), Kid's room and oh..I saw one room that said - M O C K AIRPLANE!! I'm so friggin happy

I know where I'm gonna go visit during the holidays now. I was only gonna visit Jeff & Kersten's place in Austin, but now I have another excuse to visit San Antonio! ;)

An updated layout of the new center was posted and I saw it last night. Holy smokes - there's also gonna be several SITUATION ROOMS! If it's what I remember, they'll be simulations where you're like at home watching TV or in bed sleeping and someone breaks into your house. I'll double check my theory at the front desk on Saturday.

I haven't heard yet if they'll be any gap between when he closes the old place and opens the new one. I would think there may be a gap as he and the staff will need time to move all the mats and equipment over there.

Ok, bumping this up again.. There's a few PICTURES folks and the floor plan to the new center which by the way looks like is gonna open EVEN EARLIER!! The plan is to open ON DECEMBER 29TH!

actually useable space around 20,000 with a seperate 2000 sq ft for entirely mma. its always bigger in texas, now we'll just be the best and now BIGGEST!!!! (6 yrs with pete I'm kinda bias, LOL)

Hubby and I along with other students and instructors helped at the new center yesterday, moving stuff around, bringing equipment in from the old center. OMG - I remember Ryan saying the place was gonna be unreal. IT"S DA BOMB!! Hubby and I got a quick tour - only place we couldn't check out was the gun range as finishing touches were being worked on. Other students were checking the place out and I can tell they were as shocked as we were.
The sound system absolutely ROCKS! The rooms are gigantic, and the architect's drawing does NOT do the place justice! The new bag room - holy friggin smokes! For you folks that have been at Pete's old place and haven't seen the new one, I promise you, YOUR JAWS ARE GONNA DROP Pete, you DA MAN! Thank you for letting us help build the place, even if it was just a small piece!

Soft opening (per Pete) was Dec. 29th. What a great place and a great way to end '08. As one (along with MJ and her hubby) who started shortly after the old place was opened, I can honestly say I made a great decision to get involved with KM. The new place is undergoing finishing touches, and the level of excitement by students and instructors alike was awesome on the 29th. MJ was there ready to rumble.

We got to take the 1st Kettlebell/Cardio class on Monday. DANG - Pete was in SUCH a friggin good mood
That speaker system-WHOA - The feedback caused some certificates on the other side of the wall to fall down..YIKESTuesday was the K.O. bag class - 50 friggin Tall Title bags. Kieth did a great class but doing roundhouse kicks on those brand new bags..geez The airplane room -love the room title..Krav Air - We serve up NUTS
