Darren is a Krav Maga 6th degree black belt and only one of two men to ever receive a Founder's Diploma from Krav Maga's creator, Imi Lichtenfeld. The agenda is as follows: Seminar #1 – Third Party Protection Date/Time: Saturday, March 27 from 9:00am – 1:00pm Cost: $99 In addition to protecting yourself, this seminar will cover many scenarios necessary to protect other potential victims. Whether you are in an official capacity of executive protection, or simply want to be able to defend your loved ones in the event of a violent attack, this seminar will equip to you protect others even as you protect yourself. Seminar #2 – Carjacking/Hijacking Defenses Date/Time: Saturday, March 27 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm Cost: $99 Whether driving your own vehicle, riding on a plane, or utilizing public transportation such as buses or trains, the confined spaces and extreme violence of attack scenarios while traveling can present unique dangers that only the most up-to-date training can overcome. Come learn these proven techniques that will also include live vehicle training! Though both seminars will feature some of the most advanced and progressive training available, no experience is necessary and both seminars are open to the public. Seminar #4 – Law Enforcement/Military Only – Defending and Retaining Weapons from the Ground Date/Time: Sunday, March 28 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm Cost: $69 With a variety of defensive tactics options available, many systems still fail to cover such high-threat situations such as weapons attacks while on the ground. LA County Deputy District Attorney Darren Levine will be instructing this law enforcement/military only seminar with regard to handgun and edged-weapons attacks from the ground, as well as weapon retention both in and out of the holster from the ground. In addition to being the US Chief Instructor for Krav Maga Worldwide, Darren is also nationally recognized as an expert in both use-of-force and assaults on sworn peace officers. He currently serves with the CAPOS unit of Specialized Prosecutions (Crimes Against Peace Officers), in which he prosecutes those charged with the murder or attempted murder of police officers.
