Whether you’re a beginner or professional fighter, the Krav Maga Fighting Program offers a variety of fighting classes for men and women of all levels. Our goal is to create well-rounded fighters – both standing and on the ground.
The Krav Maga Fighting Classes
The Krav Maga Worldwide™ Training Centers offers 3 levels of Krav Maga street fighting classes for the beginning, intermediate, and advanced fighter. Krav Maga street fighting classes develop the skills needed for you to win the battle. We work on all areas of the fight: attacks, defenses, timing, feints, tactics, movements, and vision. We develop the right skills for sparring and ring fighting, but, remember, the street is not the ring. The bad guy isn’t fighting for points and neither should you, so we emphasize down and dirty techniques – what is effective to win on the streets. Our no rules system of fighting will keep you safe and help you survive a violent assault.
Ground Fighting
What do you do when a fight goes down to the ground? Based on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this class teaches students effective techniques used by grapplers in ground fighting against opponents of all sizes. A must for women. For students of all levels.
Other Program levels
This beginning level fight class is designed for those students who want to experience fighting in a step-by-step, methodical, non-intimidating fashion. The students will learn the essential strikes, blocks, and movements of Krav Maga street fighting and will be brought along slowly until they are accustomed to the contact that occurs in a fight. There will be some degree of contact in every class, beginning with minimal contact the first few weeks and ending with light sparring by the end of the course. The class format is different from the other classes in that it has a start and end date, lasting 10 weeks. Students are encouraged to start class on the first day because each week builds on the previous week.
This class is designed for students who understand the basic mechanics of fighting: movement, basic punches, kicks, combinations, and defenses against attacks. In Fight 1 you will continue to sharpen these skills in a faster-paced environment than the Intro Fight class, with more sparring and a slightly higher level of contact.
This class makes an excellent transition for students interested in moving from Fight 1 to Fight 2. Fight 1 students will find themselves pushed to a higher level of training using techniques they already know against opponents with a higher skill level, while Fight 2 students will practice their skills in a more controlled environment.
This class is for students who have gone through Intro Fight and Fight 1 or have previous fighting experience. Training focuses on advanced combinations, feints, fighting in the clinch, takedowns, ground fighting, and fighting multiple opponents. Sparring at this level is more freestyle, with takedowns and grappling permissible in most scenarios.
Students will be trained with the same drills and training methods used by professional fighters. Students will spar when the instructor feels they are ready.
Students will punch focus mitts, hit heavy bags, train footwork and movement, spar, and learn the ins and outs of western style boxing. Technique and conditioning will be emphasized as students are run through the training regimens of professional boxers.
