I was wondering why more of the knife defenses (i.e where the knife is right under your neck or at either side of your neck) weren’t shown? I’m figuring cause the book was packed enough as it is OR those techniques are for blackbelts? Either way, hope to see them in a sequel 🙂

That’s something I thought was missing, too. Not a single knife threat, even though being threatened with a knife would probably be a relatively common self-defense scenario. Instead, there is the bayonet defense, which I like, but it would probably far less likely for a civilian to be attacked with a bayonet than to be threatened with a knife. So I’m not sure about the omission.
However, many defenses against knife threats are similar to gun defenses, you just grab the wrist instead of the weapon and do a cavalier for a takeaway (although there are some others, if you are pushed against a wall for example). I don’t know if you have Imi Lichtenfeld’s book, but knife threats are explained in that one as well, you can get it at Borders 😀 .
Not sure what level knife threats are, some (such as the one with the knife around the neck) may be BB, but the more common ones come earlier in the system I believe.

Yes I’ve got Imi’s but it’s been awhile since I looked at it. I thought last time I did though, I didn’t see those that I was asking about. I’ll go check again – thanks 😀
There are a whole bunch of knife threats in Imi’s book. Also the one from behind to the neck and to the neck from the front. The only one missing is the one against a wall, where you push the attacker’s arm down.
