I was watching some video clip TV show, and they had a law enforcement guy confronting a woman about something (like speeding or something). While talking, a guy walks up behind him and swings a bottle at the cops’ head. The cop happens to see a shadow approaching. He turns around and hits the other guy’s forearm with his as he pivots. He might have gotten a bit of the attack, but his body was offline and his outward block made the bottle break (or made the guy drop it, I can’t remember). Anyway, yay for that. Made me wonder what, if any, his training was. Its hard to say because its such an instinctive yet effective movement, so many systems use it.
