    Love these.

    Krav Magen
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S1VLEZniEY
    — looks very similar to Krav Maga

    Kapap
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFK7lpL30_s
    — did almost the exact same drill a few weeks ago, it’s tough

    Dennis Hanover
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvyCHlwca6E
    — this is wild (for the record, I know how badass*/cool/intense/respected the man is, and I also know the story behind this is really messed up, it’s just funny to see it expressed in the style of a 70’s karate movie or something from I think Japan)

    Re: KM variations

Krav Magen is Krav Maga. The others shouldnt really be considered KM variations as they are two totally different arts. Dennis is universally respected but modern KAPAP is kind of a reconstruced system.

    Re: KM variations

Interesting. I guess I meant variations in a slightly looser sense. Meaning more specifically other Israeli martial arts that seem similar to Krav Maga in one way or another, either because they’re basically the same tree (Krav Magen), a different tree from the same seed (Kapap), or a different tree that shares many of the same characteristics due to proximity and environmental factors (Dennis Hisardut). Calling this KM variations might imply I’m talking about the different ways Krav Maga is taught and practiced around the world.
