In Krav Maga having a tough and numb shin is an asset. I have been hitting myself gradually harder over a period of time with a staff to achieve this end. It has been working, yet I am wondering if anyone can suggest a better method. Thanks!:dunno:

    Hey Andy

I used to take a dowel and roll it up and down my shin bone from the top of my ankle to my knee cap. Absent mindedly while watching tv worked the best for me so I just kept a escrima stick by the couch stick your foot up on the coffee table and roll with as much pressure as you can take.

Make sure you put Arnica (or something like it, dit da jow maybe) on afterwards.

    Hope that helps~
