deputy chief instructor - krav maga worldwide
Kelly Campbell serves as Deputy Chief Instructor of Krav Maga Worldwide, bringing more than 25 years of leadership, instructor development, and unwavering commitment to system integrity into this role.
For over two decades, Kelly has been the backbone of instructor certification within Krav Maga Worldwide— directly training, evaluating, and certifying generations of instructors across the globe. Few individuals in the organization’s modern history have personally developed as many instructors. Her influence extends far beyond numbers; it is reflected in the quality, discipline, and technical consistency of the instructors who carry the Krav Maga Worldwide name.
Holding a 5th Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga, Kelly is internationally respected for her ability to identify, cultivate, and refine instructor talent. She understands Krav Maga as a structured, principle-driven system with internal logic and sequencing— not a collection of techniques. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that expansion never compromises standards and that certification reflects true competence, not convenience.
Her promotion to Deputy Chief Instructor recognizes decades of contribution to instructor development, structural consistency, and organizational continuity. She has consistently upheld the core values of Krav Maga, maintaining clarity in teaching standards while guiding instructors to embody both technical precision and leadership maturity.
Kelly previously served as Director of Instructor Development and holds certifications as a Civilian Law Enforcement Instructor and KM Kids Instructor within the Krav Maga Worldwide youth system. She is also certified in advanced programs including Train the Trainer and ASST (Adrenal Stress Scenario Training), reinforcing her expertise in preparing instructors to perform and teach under pressure.
Beyond the training floor, Kelly co-authored Krav Maga for Women: Your Ultimate Program for Self Defense and has appeared on Fight Science, as well as on Good Day LA, and in publications including the Los Angeles Times.
What distinguishes Kelly is her consistency and depth. She holds standards firmly. She develops instructors rigorously. And she cares deeply about the integrity and future of the Krav Maga system.
As Deputy Chief Instructor, Kelly represents disciplined leadership, continuity, and excellence— ensuring that Krav Maga Worldwide continues to grow without sacrificing the principles that define it.
