hey was I at your course??? helping at the 911kravmaga center??

If that’s you Jeremy, yeah, you were in the class participating and giving pointers. I haven’t been able to attend another class in the past month and a half due to my wife’s pregnancy kickin’ her butt and our 1 year old craving hug time. Hopefully when they are done with the new center, I’ll be able to attend again. PD put me on the day shift so I have a little more free time.thumbsup

    Re: tombstone pads

bump for this thread. Anyone with links for sources? To be honest with you, I’ve never bought equipment like this and not aware of the good, bad, and ugly except for what I’ve seen mentioned in this thread on Century pads. My partner and I will be doing a class for some of our PD co-workers. It’s our first class and we need to look at tombstones and banana pads. As Mara suggested, I will also try with my center.

Re: Take A Tour of the San Antonio Regional Training Center

It is a great facility. He is moving to a bigger place. I just finished my 5 day Series 1 Law Enforcement Instructor’s Training there. What an event. Pete and the others always seem willing to answer questions/give tips without a second thought.

Re: The rising popularity of KM…good or bad?

I don’t think it will. Well, as long as the training center doesn’t lower their standards. Let more and more get into it. It’s not like some Tae Bo(sp?) fad in my opinion. As long as it stays hands on I think it will be fine. But, we’ll see how it goes in the coming months/years.

Re: Looky what I found 🙂

Must have someone here in town making them? Only thing I found while trying to find it on the net was a stainless Krav Maga watch.

lol, the only thing I wear around my neck is my necklace wifey bought me when we started dating 11 years ago that I have her promise ring on.

They had another piece there too, some king of charm or something.

Re: Reflection – 3 months Doing Krav

On my second day I came REAL close. I had pizza the night before. It was a sort of check for me. I have 4 sessions under my belt and am loving the energy during class and how I feel afterwards. I went in for the 1115 class this morning and had to be at work afterwards at 145. I was pumped for work and the only thing that bummed me out in the patrol car was the rain. It really makes me feel better even though I may feel tired for that short period afterwards.

I saw it too when I walked in, RIGHT next to the swipe lol. Glad my wife was at home. She’d be all over that like a pack of rotweillers on a three legged cat(to quote Jeff Foxworthy).

MJ, what class were you in? I was there at 1115am.

AMEN! Every morning and night I draw from my duty holster to keep the mechanics fresh. I use a Threat Level III Raptor from Safari Land. That practice at home and drilling on the range makes it second nature to introducing my weapon. I had a weird moment tuesday night where it was required and I don’t recall even thinking of each stage as I pulled it out. It was comforting that it was a nice fluid movement.

Pistol, knife, taser, shotgun, whatever you pick, just practice.

lol….Not those kind of drinks Michael. Sodas and water. You bring booze, you have to have a 100% sober driver. That’s how I’ve always run it. I never have a problem. A lot of the times, wifey and I drive some folks home so we know they’ll be safe.

Seen it a couple times. Scary to see in that position, but glad the officer prevailed.

HAHA, that is awesome. I’ve always wanted to rent one of those! I’m going to be doing a BBQ with the neighborhood. I used to throw one every weekend with a PD co-worker that lives across the street, but those got expensive, lol. So I’m providing the grill and drinks, and it’s pot luck style from there. Should be fun. No bang bangs this year. I’m saving my stash for New Years:beer:
