The curriculum can be found by putting Warriorbroadcastnetwork, training videos into your search engine.
My 2cents? It’s an excellent program that covers traditional KM but also places great emphasis on Boxing, Muay Thai, Kali stick and knife and Gracie JJ.April 17, 2016 at 1:00 am #89968connorbMemberRe: krav maga is not effective in real life !
Reza, I’ve trained in Boxing for many years. Not once in that time do I recall being choked, choked with a shove, been placed into a headlock, bearhug etc. or had a bladed weapon come at me.
The guy’s and gals of krav maga aren’t training for nine or twelve 3-minute Marquis of Queensberry regulated rounds. They’re training to survive an assault so that they can make their way back home to their families.
BTW: You really don’t want to go one on one with a Sayeret Matkal or Commando Brigade “Oz’ type. CQC wouldn’t go well for you.

My .02cents.
If you are a KM er and go toe-to-toe with a Boxer or Thai Boxer without resorting to a luckily placed maiming technique, things will not go well for you. While you are working on striking, so are they. While you are working on other techniques, they are still working on striking which makes them very good and ,therefore, very dangerous. For anyone that has any doubt about that, go to your nearest boxing gym, jump in the ring and try going a 3 minute round… or to the first knockout.
That being said, your average Boxer wouldn’t know what to do if thrown into a headlock or if a gun was pointed at him, or any other situation outside the ring that he needed to do to save his LIFE which is kind of the point of Krav, isn’t it?

No, it is not. Too much full contact sparring will make you stoo-pid. (quote from my SA Boer dutch bud who I used to spar regularly)
Avoid frequent full contact sparring so that you can have the wherewithal to continue to Krav on into your 70’s because that is when you WILL be a target by our societal predator’s.

Try Gracie University.com
I’m told that they have an excellent Blue belt program that you can accomplish on-line. You will need a training partner though but I understand that they have a data bank of individuals nationwide that will “roll” with you.December 18, 2014 at 12:58 am #89389connorbMemberRe: Better to move constantly or stay rooted
I don’t recommend staying in one spot. Work on various attack angles which, unfortunately, seems to elude the curriculum of most fighting styles. Work on offense, defense and counterpunching footwork drills and you will be amazed at how easy it is to tag your opponents.

Try http://WWW.Kravmagatraining.com then go to the Student section for a general dissertation about that very subject posted near the bottom of the page. (Also, there are also quite a few training videos posted in that section by the schools KM instructor, Randall Koch, who is very clear and distint while explaning the nuances of various techniques)

Great responses. There’s a good KM video from Israel posted on Youtube by the Fight Quest gentlemen that pretty much sums up my own question.

Right cross high(chin), Left hook low(liver), right kick low(Krav it to the groin…if they’re still standing)After that, if they’re still standing…run like heck.

quote Roadford01:Hey every one,Just so every one knows why I am asking this, I believe in the philosophy of training in different forms of combat. This includes, hand to hand fighting, knife fighting, baton fighting, and gun fighting. I wanted to find out every one else’s thoughts on how to balance training in these different forms, and on how to add physical training, such as strength or gym training, to the mix.
Thanks in advance.
Good question Roadford,
Personally, I believe that cardio-strength training is equally as important as any self-defense training you may be doing.(Strong emphasis on Cardio) Sure, you may be able to throw a series of combinations against the heavy bag but it is an entirely different story when you are going multiple three minute rounds against a moving target that is returning fire.
I doubt that you will ever have to encounter a three minute long fight for your life.(Realistically, more like 30 seconds) but if you are training well enough to make it through even one three minute round, you should be conditioned well enough to push through the adrenaline dump that inevitably follows that initial adrenaline surge that results from an assault.

quote KMyoshi:I would like to see this video for my training purposes. thumbsupFor what it’s worth, I don’t think Don is trying to chastise you. From your description, it sounds pretty much the same as to what is being taught at KMW and according to videos online, what other KM organizations teach.
The way I interpreted this is that what we’re being taught now is totally different and/or wrong from what is being shown in the video. Also keep in mind that it is possible that some techniques have been modified from the curriculum since 1999. KM is continuing to add/modify or remove techniques when better ones are “discovered,” e.g: brainstormed.
Disregard my previous recommendation. God knows I don’t want any of you guys to fork over any money to the grease ball Company that was selling that tape. Anyway, It was quite awhile ago and it was VHS after all.

quote Don:I guess that answers my questions. Good luck too.‘Well, since you’re asking…yes, I have the Line of Fire Video. I purchased it over twelve years ago the first time that I delved into Krav.(Sidetracked by Boxing/Muay Thai yet again)
Anyway, for those of you who wish to see a video that will take the more practiced gun-disarming techniques to well beyond the basic Rote and understanding level’s, I recommend the previously mentioned video. It takes the techniques to the Application level and even delves slightly into the final level of learning that we all know is Correlation to the street.(Plus you get to see a guy getting shot multiple times with plastic bullets)
However, If you are completely certain that what you are teaching or are being taught is the one and only tried and proven method that you will ever have to know, by all means, practice it.
