    Re: Vibram Five Fingers

    quote TheAmBASSaDEER:

Yep, Thats really the only place I wear them. And I would have to say that for some reason those “shoes” really improved my kicks!

Now our class is about half/half barefoot to shoes.

I went barefoot for the first time in class the other day because I had developed shin splints on a run and decided to try something different. I had noticed a huge improvement in my kicks as well as my stance and all areas dealing with footwork. I’ll be training barefoot from now on. I’m considering 5 Fingers for running, but not necessarily for KM training, however, if I do get a pair for running (most likely) I’ll wear them to class and post results here.

    Re: bio flex cup questions

I’ve worn Shock Doctor Ultra Carbon Flex cup in a jock, almost since day 1. This is sold as a package (get the “Ultra”, it’s $25, but the supporter is super comfortable and fits awesome) I have taken plenty of kicks to the groin- never a flinch or a pinch. Best cup Ive worn, I’ll never go back to cheapo cups like Bike, XO or wal-mart special. It flexes on purpose, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do- protect the nuts, and as comfortably as possible. A+ in my book.

Comp shorts with cup pocket are a no-go in my book. The cup kind of “floats” over the area instead of being snug in place and that makes me nervous, aside from being uncomfortable. I’d say save your money and just go with the jock. If you want to wear the shorts, wear them over your cup/jock.

    Re: Comfortable Groin Protection

So far, Shock Doctor in a jockstrap has worked very well for me, but always looking for something better.

Has anyone tried the SAW Spider cup?

Any thoughts on steel Thai cups?
