What is Krav Maga?
If you’re completely new to Krav Maga, you may be wondering what this self-defense program is all about. Krav Maga is a brutal and effective self-defense system developed in order to help students fight off potential attackers in real world situations. Originally, Krav Maga was developed by Imi Lichtenfeld in the 1930s. Lichtenfeld used his background in competition fighting to help create a system that would build mental and physical strength. Krav Maga practitioners are trained to be ready for anything – and this means self-defense by any means possible.
Who Uses Krav Maga?
A number of people have started practicing the amazing self-defense program of Krav Maga. Due to it’s highly effective techniques, it’s the official fighting system of the Israeli Defense Forces and used by IDF special force units, law enforcement officials, and special operations forces.
That being said, Krav Maga was designed so that individuals of all sizes and ages could benefit from it. People of modern times come to Krav Maga for a variety of reasons. Krav Maga is good for individuals who want to increase their strength, physical fitness, mental awareness, sense of safety, self-esteem, and social skills. At Krav Maga Worldwide, we also get students who simply want to try something new. If any of these things sounds good to you, swing by a Krav Maga self-defense class and begin your transformation into a warrior.
