I am looking at getting the Bas CD’s to workout with over the holiday break and also for regular use at home. I do not own a heavy bag (I have no where to put it and the association got mad that I hung one in the back yard….) so I was wondering if I can use these for shadow boxing and still derive some benefit?

Sure you can. TheBas CD’s are a good workout even if you don’t have a bag to beat on.

I figured I would do them with my boxing gloves on to have the additional weight on my hands.

Before I got my bag I was doing the Bas tapes only with shadowboxing (or shadowstriking as Bas says), and you can still get a great workout. Just make sure you’re putting full speed and power into your knees and punches, otherwise you’re losing out and you won’t be pushing yourself as hard.
That additional weight on your hands will help out too – it’s amazing how much heavier your hands are after a session with 16oz gloves.

Yup.. I have the CD’s on my ipod and always take on vacation to shadowbox in the room.

I started them last week and all I can do is shadowbox. Works fine and gives you a good workout, but it’s easier to strain your muscles and joints since you have nothing to hit.
My stamina and striking technique have already improved considerably!

When people say bas CD’s… do you mean DVD’s?
Or are they just audio?

There are DVDs and CDs. We are talking about the workout CDs.
