I’ve been watching a lot of UFC DVDs recently and as anyone who watches the fights know the guy that’s mounted usually gets a pretty good beating, with the worst having your back turned. I have seen a reversed when the attacker gets their arms caught in a lock but I know we don’t teach arm bars in KM, right?
So because UFC rules do not apply during a street fight does anyone have an interesting defense against mounts?

I can’t speak with any authority but from what my instructor has told me and the curriculum I have read, it is something that is covered in KM.
I googled “Krav Maga Curriculum” and found this http://www.kravmagadfw.com/curriculum.html
If you look at levels 1-3 (mostly 2 and 3) there is a bunch of groundwork including arm bars.
I kind of like the KM view of groundwork. Learn to defend but don’t make it your offense. Why do you want to screw around with your back in the “blood, the mud, and the beer” (Johnny Cash).
With that said… Do you think they’ll add the Gogoplata to the curriculum? It looks really practical for street applications http://mmafever.blogspot.com/2007/11/brad-imes-gogoplata-video.html 😛

The KM mount escapes are actually similar to BJJ ones. Shrimping and buck and roll.
