Anyone have any songs or bands they like to listen to while working out, the type of song that gets you going and makes you hit that much harder? (Personally I like Christina Aguilera’s Fighter.) Thanks!

I like to listen to early James Brown (really funky stuff!) and AC/DC when I work out. But not at the same time.

I’ve just been listening to music when doing weapon stuff recently, since rhythm is important. I like Buena Vista Social Club. Seconding James Brown, too. I’m also fond of the soundtrack to the movie Ravenous.

CJ’s Dad – What were having your fight class listen to the other day? I can’t remember what it was, just that it made me giggle and give you s*&%. 😉
I like to switch it up at least a little bit every several weeks, especially when I get sick of certain songs, but there are some songs I can’t take out b/c they pump me up so much. I warm my classes up w/ some light, pop-y stuff to get them going, like:
Rihanna – Disturbia, Britney – Womanizer, Nelly Furtado – Maneater, Pussycat Dolls – When I Grow Up, Fall Out Boy – Dance Dance, Outkast – Bombs over BaghdadThen when we’re getting down to business and start working on the bag, I like heavier stuff. Off the top of my head, a few that I know are on my fav CD right now are:
Metallica – Enter Sandman
Trapt – Headstrong
Disturbed – Down with the Sickness
Alien Ant Farm – Smooth Criminal
Marilyn Manson – Beautiful People
Eminem – Lose Yourself
Linkin Park – Papercut
Drowning Pool – Bodies
Limp Biskit – Rollin’
Papa Roach – Last ResortOctober 6, 2008 at 11:32 pm #70263cjs-dadKeymasterRe: Fight Music/Workout Music

JFA does a killer version of the Peanuts theme(they call it “Charlie Brown” on the album)–it can be purchased as a single MP3 on Amazon. But if you have Minor Threat’s Complete Discography, you don’t need anything else.

I have to say that Shannon has the best ipod in town. I really like her, but I also want to steal her ipod and leave her like $400 to get a new one and reload her music onto it.
Alice in Chains
Soundgarden
Rage Against the Machine
Audioslave
Linkin ParkJunior has to have AC/DC
I would also like Marilyn Manson
Puddle of Mudd
SeetherAnd I can’t believe nobody cranks Rob Zombie (Not that I recall hearing).

I made a CD that I use at home … It’s about 40 minutes and usually start it after my warmup while doing BAS (I listen to anything from Shinedown to Nickelback to Marylin Manson to Bon Jovi during warmup)
Almost Easy – Avenged Sevenfold
Addicted – Saving Abel
Tears Don’t Fall – Bullet for My Valentine
Breath – Breaking Benjamin
Down With the Sickness – Disturbed
Next Contestant – Nickelback
Follow You Home – Nickelback
Bodies – Drowning Pool
Crazy Bitch – Buckcherry
More Human Than Human – White Zommbie
the Diary of Jane – Breaking Benjamin -
