Hello!
It has been several years since I logged on here (and therefore several years since I trained in KM until recently). I left KM due to a wrist injury that required surgery. Currently, I experience pain in my inner elbow (golfer’s elbow) when I hold focus mitts for hook punches and overhand punches. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it because of my wrist position or incorrect holding technique? Would holding the focus mitt further away or wearing a weight lifting wrist wrap underneath help?
So I’ve been more comfortable in level 1 due to not having to hold focus mitts or thai pads. The pain isn’t there when I’m delivering the strikes (only when holding and my inner elbow must withstand the force of my partner).
Thank you!
