I’m probably putting the cart just a tad bit in fron of the horse…being that I’m only about 6 weeks into my first Level 1 class, but, oh well.
How does Instructor Certification work? Say I pass my level 1 and am progressing towards level 2….can I gain Level 1 Instructor Certification or do I have reach a certain level before I can look into becoming an instructor at any level? Is it something I can do here locally or will I need to come hang out with you experts in L.A. in order to get the certification?

The decision to take the instructor certification program or “phase” as its called is not one to take lightly. It’s a huge commitment and responsibility to pay forward what we have learned.
There are several regional training centers that offer the course regularly, so no you won’t need to travel all the way to LA for the training.
My suggestion would be to talk to your instructor and see what his feelings are. Ultimately they will be the judge if you’re at a place in your training that makes sense to further your education as a potential instructor.

If your school isn’t paying for it for you and you’ve got about $1500 bucks to spend just for sh*ts and giggles go for it. Enjoy.
