Hi Y\”all,
I saw the shrimping technique on page 150 and wondered if I missed the shrimping that’s from the guard (i.e. you’re on your back, and the attacker is in your guard) instead of the mount ? Shrimping isn’t listed in the index.

Shrimping from the guard is typically done to create space for a kick. Is that what you mean? If so, search for guard or kicking from the guard.
Yes, shrimping is usually done to pull out your legs from underneath an opponent who is mounted. If he’s in the guard, your legs are already out, so there is no need to shrimp to free yourself, however you could still \”shrimp\” to make just a bit of distance for a kick, as Ryan was saying.

Ahh..dangit..ok..I see it now(pg 155). I think I wasn’t sure if that was the one cause picture 2 didn’t look like what I’ve seen before. That’s probably due to the angle of the picture..
