Hallo!
What do you Krav Maga people think about The Shredder concept from Richard Dimitri and Senshido?
I have seen the dvd:s and read the book. I have tried/tested it in my training and I think it is very good to have in the toolbox!

I saw one of his videos once and was turned off as he was bashing krav maga techniques(which he represented inaccurately) either intentionally to make himself look good or he was misinformed.
I saw another one recently and I liked a lot of what he said which is get in close and cause as much damage as possible, no wasted movement, etc…….in that regard I like it a lot. Get in close and attack,rip, tear etc…

Chest to back is a beautiful thing! Wherever the head goes the body will follow!
I happen to love turning someone around like this. Nir Maman is a huge advocate of head control. I taught a class several months back and there were some police officers and tradtional martial artists present and they were in awe at what one can do by controlling an opponents head!

I think that The Shredder concept are very good. I will give you a link to You Tube so that you can see for your self if you think it is something to put in the toolbox. I dont know who put it on You Tube but is is the first dvd with Mr Dimitri explaining The Shredder. The movie is 1 hour and 22 min.

I was a more than a little skeptical about all the hype on his website but I thought that video was quite good and well worth my time to watch. I think Nir Maman would approve of what he’s teaching. Retzev!
