Whats the difference between “Human Weapon” and “Fight Quest”

I just saw that Discovery Channel has a new show called Fight Quest the premises seems to be the same as Human Weapon.. anyone know what the difference is other then new hosts?

I saw the same thing yesterday and had the exact same thoughts, maybe our minds are magically linked…

I switched it on, but then did something else and didn’t pay that much attention, but it seems that in “Fight Quest” there are about 8 guys instead of two and they compete against each other (I think), sort of like “Survivor”, but I don’t think anyone gets voted off. I’ll check if it runs again and will give it a closer look.

Hmm, yeah, that discovery channel plot summary does sound very similar to “Human Weapon”. But what I saw yesterday had more than two main guys competing. Maybe that was something else or another format, not sure.

Maybe they plan on replacing Human Weapon with Fight Quest?

From the email I got from Discovery they had no immediate plans on running the show past this season.

Sounds close to the same thing, but instead of both hosts training together the whole time like they do on the Human Weapon ,they train seperately and each guy fights a local guy at the end of the show instead of only one of the hosts fighting.

I just watched a sneak peek episode of “Fight Quest”. Looks very similar to “Human Weapon” with minor differences.

I thought it was interesting that they were seperated and trained differently. It was something different then Human Weapon in those aspects.

Yes, I enjoyed it a lot.
Especially how they trained separately…
I fell fight quest has more a “reality TV” feel to it.
But altogether, even the two guys look similar to the “Human Weapon” guys…

Yeah, it seems like a bit of a rip off. It’s even on on Fridays, just like Human Weapon. But I think I’ll watch anyway, see what else they’ve got. There may even be a Krav Maga episode down the road.

Fight Quest Was actually filmed before Human Weapon. Human Weapon just aired much faster.

I saw the Kali episode yesterday and thought that it was pretty boring. Pretty much two guys waving sticks around for an hour and no explanation of the moves/history/strategy etc. The sparring and fights were pretty good, but too short. I think I prefer “Human Weapon”.

Nice bruise on that one guy’s hip, though.
