After training in Krav then moving to the cage I can say I don’t think I would have been prepared having only Krav in my belt. Krav breaks to many of the cage rules to be effective by itself. Too many threads already on the topic of which is “better”, but most seem to agree it is a different skill that each have there place.
However I owe my striking skills and warrior attitude 100% to my Krav training. I actually found it easier to start off with a system that had no rules and then move into the cage once I felt comfortable fighting. If I can survive the knife/gun situations or a 2 on 1 stick combatives, one guy in a cage with no weapons seems alot more managable.
