Re: Is This Indicitive Of ATA

After reading this thread for a couple of days and seeing how concerned Psyops is about ATA schools, ill post my experience, and get back to KRAV.

Ive lived in Las Vegas since 1976. Iíve been an Airline pilot for 12 yrs with a major airline. A fellow pilot introduced me to Krav during a 4 day trip and since then ive been hooked on krav. That was 2 years ago.
The cockpit of a major airliner is some of the most coveted Real Estate for a terrorist.
NO WAY will it be taken without a serious battle as I know the consequences of losing.

While I travel, I try to get in a workout in during my layovers. I go to the Krav web page find a location and call. So far I have been a guest at 5 different schools besides my own, which by the way, is an ATA school.
When Krav is taught at my home school, it is high intensity, Explosive and absolutely pure krav. The teaching format is the same, the techniques are the same ( I refer to Darren and Johns book frequently on my trips) but most important, the principals are the same. My instructor is as true to Krav as ive read on this board.
When Im a guest of another school, Iím reinforced by the fact that I can at least hold my own during the class and get to meet new people and enjoy talking to the owners or managers of the school because im that addicted to Krav Maga.
I would like to invite Psyops to work out with us anytime and I would also enjoy working out at his school too.
Im not being sarcastic. I mean that as a genuine offer because I have actually looked for his school when I have been to his side of town. I totally understand how protective everyone is of the system because I am as well.
I felt very lucky to watch Darren teach a level one class in broomfield the night before Wintercamp started. reinforcing the krav system.
Wintercamp was awesome, and me and a buddy from the vegas ATA school came away with an even higher regard for Darren , John, Ryan, Jimmo and Brian Hiramosa for their hard work.

Every once in a while, at the vegas ATA, we may do a Bas Rutten ìall around wk out ì or the ìall around fight cdî which is just fine with me just to mix it up but we all know its to support Krav. Then, its onto technique or scenario based training.

I have yet to find a school that was listed in the kmww that did not uphold the standard.
If you attend our Krav classes, you will get in shape but thatís NOT the purpose of the class. Survival on the streets is the goal and that is what’s taught.
When Psyops states that in Las Vegas you will learn ìpure Kravî I would second that.
I would not want to see the Our System suffer either.

Now, feel free to shred this, talk about it ñ use it.
    Iíll get back to Krav.

    Take care

    krav in vegas

    mason,
i wk out at wigwam and pecos. (East side). dont know the sahara school but i hear its good fom a pilot that wks out there when he is in town on layover. (im a pilot myself)

mr brandon runs the school on my side of town. its a tkd studio but he is a blk belt krav instructor. He gets into teaching krav and it shows from his enthusiasm. iv been to other schools in my travels – all great but im biased for my school.
ive been there a year and a half. class sizes are usually8-10 people.
If you live on the east side of town there are a couple of schools close by. i highly recomend sticking with it.

havent been to the school in question but im sure its a high energy school too.
