Re: Being choked with a wire (both with and without space)
When we did this with John Whitman, he actually showed it a bit differently. He basically did choke with a pull defense, trying to have the hands catch at least one of the ropes, pull forward, then turn in. Worked well, too, plus might be the most instinctive thing to do to reach back with your hands.
