    Re: additional cardio

Thanks for the input guys. This is definitely uncharted territory for me and very interesting. Lol, I hadn’t heard of tabata or LSD training before now.

The vid helped me understand what you meant in the other thread. The education continues!

Re: What martial art books do you read ?

Bouncers guide to barroom brawling: dealing with the sucker puncher, streetfighter, and ambusher.

I am having a lot of fun with this book. I have already had 2 or three epiphanies reading this material. The book is a little dated, discounting the recent popularity of MMA, but it is still a very refreshing look at martial arts and why the author, Peyton Quinn, advocates only a few of the many techniques he has learned over the years for actual fighting.

    A must read.

Re: hats, headbands, something to stop the sweat

I use a headband sometimes in class and definitely keep a towel close by as well.

    side note:

in class the other day working on ground defense kicks, I kicked the kick shield my partner was holding crisply. As my partners body went backward, his head snapped forward, knocking the sweat off of his brow and directly into my eye.

    It burns! :(:
