Re: KM Tests
I don’t do Krav yet but I want to soon hopefully. I do karate right now and we like all other karate dojos have a belt rank system. My angle on the test is that it’s necessary to move from one level to the next. It would probably confuse a beginner if they went to an advanced class and burn them out. The belts aren’t so important as the test, I’ve even gotten tired of wearing mine to class (but it’s mandatory). Of course, the teacher does need some way of telling which level each student is and what they’re learning.
Just my opinion. 😀

Hi Mara_Jade, and thanks for the welcome! Does anybody know anything about Master Clark’s gyms in Florida? I saw the website but it didn’t look the way I thought it would. I’m just curious if it’s good and not just all TKD4K.

Wow, cool! Okay, I will. Thing is, I don’t live in FL right now. I just wanted to dojo shop while I college shop and apartment shop. Do everything at the same time. To be honest, I can’t wait to do Krav Maga, it seems like it was made for me. :woohoo:

Hi, I’m new on the forum and I don’t take Krav yet. However, I just wanted to say that in the beginning everything can seem to be random, but maybe there’s an agenda to what you’re being taught. During certain times of the year my sensei works mostly on self defense, on others it’s sparring, or forms, or just plain fitness. But they always happen in order. That’s just how it is in my dojo, I could be wrong about your gym. 😀
