quote b0123:Hey Karnos,Are you training for P1 level? because I also train with the IKMF (I’m currently P2) and during my P1 and P2 test their was no sparring involved.
That’s good to know! My exam is until August (I think) but I am already training with a couple of guys who are going to do the exam as well. We’re training off hours, going over everything we have seen this far. :box:

My plan is that once I have reached a certain level of training in Krav Maga, I will start training in Kali (not quitting Krav Maga while doing that sir, not at all).
I can definitely see the advantage of knowing both systems.

Well, I had another sparing session tonight. It was quite intense, it was five of us and first we had an intense everyone vs everyone sparing, not too intense, just to get us a little bumped.
After that I had my actual second sparing, I did much much better than yesterday, and my instructors told me so. I even managed to take the other guy and connect a knee on his (protected) chest I still made many mistakes, mainly in my way of defending against some of the punches, but overall, I did better than yesterday, and I feel quite good about it:)
Thanks for the tips and cheers guys, I mean it, this means a lot to me :jerry:

He was intending to kill somebody anyway, because he had the knife drawn way before the other poor guy commented about his sweatshirt. He was a criminal just looking for an excuse.
Something of notice, when I was In Spain (In Barcelona) I noticed many people commenting against people of both extreme right and extreme left ideologies right there on their faces.
uh…? Can we say stupid thing to do? I don’t know, I think that if you see somebody sporting some legend or symbol from an extreme ideology, the most sensible thing is to just play it safe and keep your opinion to yourself.

quote phlegmon27:Start doing Yoga (if you don’t already). Pay close attention to the breathing, and how to be aware of the breath. You should find that this awareness will cross over to your Krav workouts, and breathing will become less of an issue. Thanks a lot for this tip. Yoga didn’t cross my mind at all. My girlfriend practices it, so I might ask her get me started.
I returned from my class a couple of hours ago, we had a VERY intense drill early on, but I did manage do well on my breathing for most of the time. However right now I feel wasted! :Deadhorse:
