They added a second date in LA on Sunday 4/11. I talked to the organizers and they actually said they could give us a discount if we get a team of at least 20 together.

I can confirm it. I speak fluent Hebrew and served in the IDF. You are right to be concerned before doing anything permanent. Get a second opinion at an Israeli store near you, the Israeli consulate or a synagogue.
Re: Has anyone taken intro to fight in LA or Sherman Oaks?
I finally tried out the Intro to Fight Class tonight in W. LA with Chris Hunt. I can’t usually do Monday nights, but tonight my schedule opened up and I heard that it was the first class. It was a really cool class. I intend to take everyone’s advice and jump right into the Sherman Oaks class with Kevin. Thanks for the encouragement.

Yes, that is the correct spelling and yes it is read from right to left. The last letter is not a vowel. It’s the letter “ayin”, which is somewhat silent. I say somewhat, because Hebrew speakers from Arab countries tend to pronounce the letter strongly, but others will just slur over it.
