Re: Best Wishes to Mike & Leslie!
Yeah, we were all yelling “That’s BS!!!” down by the cage, ’cause while he was down, he was looking at the guy and the expression on his face was very focused–you could see he was getting ready to pounce and take it back to the ground when the ref called it. Hope his leg isn’t too bad, but the expression when he was tagged was pretty telling. He’s a warrior though, and shoot yeah, we’re VERY proud of Mike!

Well, you guys do a great job on the posts and pix, and I totally agree with you on the place and the people–even while I was recovering from my ACL Surgery, I was up there because I just loved being around the folks so much and was soaking in as much as I could, while I was sidelined as an observer. It’s a real privilege to get to train with Pete and his crew & I have YOU to thank for getting me hooked!

Yeah, after we were done, Donna was pointing out all my bruises and a long scratch I hadn’t noticed Ro caught me with, and I just shrugged and smiled and told her I had FUN. :D: Brad was talking with us after his little “souvenir,” but Jesse got the best one of the day with 6 stitches. I’m glad he was alright. I was more thirsty than hungry when I finally took off & didn’t eat until Chris got home. So I was running on what little I ate on the drive down and adrenaline, all day! Just showed Chris the pix though and he said “Good Job!”
quote mara_jade:Amen girl! Hubby and I are sore in places we’re not quite WHY we’re sorerofl2rofl2I think we all kicked a$$ considering NONE of us had anything since breakfast – at least hubby and I didn’t. We thought of going for lunch, but like you, we got the impression the plane seminar was gonna start soon, so we had to get dibs on those seats Having a casual conversation with John – WOW..That was a serious high point! He doesn’t act like a hotshot at all – no wonder our instructors love him thumbsup

Wow, the pix came out GREAT MJ! So, you and hubby sore from yesterday? Only thing I’m sore from is the wrist tosses–Ro got me pretty good on one of the last ones and we both heard my wrist pop & crack! I had so much fun though, and hangin’ with John on the plane was really cool too! Hopefully now that all the guys who made it out for the Opening have seen our new place, they’ll be back… a LOT! haha All really great guys and so much fun to train with!

LOL No kidding about the marriage counseling! I nearly cracked hubby’s cup in a class 2 weekends ago and the looks I got from 2 girls working close by made me feel obligated to explain my partner was my hubby…and that this was GREAT “couples therapy” sometimes! Ha! As for coming to classes with injuries, I’m still recovering from ACL Reconstructive Surgery (done back in June), and though I’ve gotta wear my brace and limit my performance level through Dec, I was cleared by my Dr. to return to classes last month. Even with my physical limitations right now, I’m still having a blast! Any day I get to be in class is a GOOD day for me, regardless of how worn out or bruised I am afterwards. lol It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done in my life, and easy to get addicted to!

Sweet! Yeah, when Pete said you guys would be back regularly for a little while, it sure cheered me up! I come off the bench this Thursday, so I’ll be able to play next time you’re back in SA:woohoo:
quote Ryan:MJ, it was great to meet you! I’m glad you enjoyed the training, and I appreciate the kind words. The plan is for us to be back there every 90 days or so, so hopefully we’ll see you again. Rest assured, you are in great hands. We love working with Pete and his crew!Steve, I am honored and humbled by your words. You sir, are the man. See you soon.

Did you see the sign-up sheet for it yesterday after Fight? It was full, and there was another page behind that one. thumbsup Wonder if it’ll be in the big room or downstairs?

Well, even though it’s a week before I can return to classes, I’m coming along with Chris, so you’ll have to kick some butt for me, MJ…:box:;):

Yeah, he just gave us a teaser about it in class yesterday, but didn’t go into to detail…so we were all standing there looking excited and salivating in anticipation for more info! lol :woohoo:

I’ve been wondering about this topic too; I notice a lot of women in our Training Center wearing Puma’s….anyone else where those, or what’s the general consensus? All I know is my cross trainers have a serious grip on the mat, which makes it an added challenge to execute some moves in class. :dunno:

Cool, a fellow Houstonian. Been living in the Hill Country the last several years, but Houston’s my hometown. May have to check out the Krav Center there next time I’m visiting longer than the typical weekend stay with Family…
