Re: How long does it take for body to acclimate to grueling workouts?

I felt exactly the same as you when I first started a few months ago. I would say not only drink loads of water, but get lots of protein in your meals and consider taking supplements like protein powder, creatine, and multivitamins. Sleeping well is essential too – your body is trying to repair itself as quickly as possible, so you may as well give it all it needs to get the job done, and you’ll recover much more quickly and be able to train harder and more frequently.

Re: What did you do in Krav Maga class today?

we learned to use our Qi to balance on a metal spike, followed by 20 mins of throwing a needle through glass, then we cooled down with.. just kidding. after some shadow boxing, pressups and stretching, we did slow fighting, right punch only at first, then both arms, then incorporating legs. After that we started our full on sparring session, with pads as obstacles on the ground – quite tough to stay aware of what’s on the floor when you’re getting hit. Followed by one-two punch, roundhouse kick drills on the thai pads; tip: careful not to let their leg hit your arm, you will have a lump.. Rounded off with more sparring in a confined space about 1.5m squared, getting pushed back in by two guys on the outside. Great class, can’t wait till next week

Re: What is the true standard of KMG?

Thanks for your input. I too would like to hear more about the author’s background, so I’ve left a comment on the site asking him to join us in this thread.

Hopefully we’ll learn more about his views soon; in the meantime his latest post gives us a bit more insight into his reasoning: http://whatiskravmaga.webs.com/apps/blog/show/16179534-real-krav-maga-
