For the muay thai episode, one of them fought in a smoker, and in the escrima episode he fought in a stickfight. I wonder how they’re going to make a challenge match for krav maga? Also, the upcoming karate episode looks pretty cool.

Hey C how the hell you been. From the preview it looked like they ran drills or scenarios. In Israel for SF’s, like the Saryet(SP) they run them thru a building padded up, every turn there is one or more guys they gotta fight thru, then the instructor moves them on. Keep fighting kind of thing. It looked like that.

If you go to myspace and look up krav maga videos you’ll find some by \”Roy\”. I wanna say krav Maga Israeli Jujitsu. One of the vids shows training in A Palistinian town. He’s legit, but only a little older than you. I won’t post a link here, but its worth the surf. If you have problems let me know

i’m training abit with one of Clyde’s instructors guys who trained and taught with him for a long time. I trained with him there when I first met Clyde. Disappointed it wasn’t Krav but finance rules the world

really glad to see you posting. Hope you’ve been great.

P.S. Hey are you down by Garddawg? His program looks really solid also I saw some vids of his old instructors school, though I think the students run it In San Diego. Pretty hardcore

This is the preview I had seen. It looked more military than self-defense oriented. In the text of the preview it talks about IKMF and Imi, along with they spread of KM around the world.

I am down by Guarddawg, but its a pretty good drive there. He invited me to come to one of his classes on a Saturday morning, and I loved everything about it. I can’t recommend his stuff highly enough. I was there the day of the Ramona Deathmarch, and you might be able to spot me in the video. I believe his old school is Cepeda Bros by San Diego State, which also looks like a good school, but I’ve already got a pretty good one and a few other groups I train with.

Did you go to the Dog Brothers Gathering a little while back? I was one of the padholders there to keep fights from spilling into the crowd.

Dude I’m pissed you came up and didn’t say anything. I didn’t go cause I had a rehearsal. I probably would have changed it if i’d known someone else there.

I’ve gotten to know GD a bit lately. really like what their doing. I have the video of his son’s BB test looked like great stuff. Didn’t know if you’d hooked up

Take care buddy, glad to hear from you

I wasn’t spending much time on the Internet around the time of the gathering. It would have been cool to know someone there, since I ended up going from San Diego by myself because everybody that wanted to go disappeared that weekend.

    Was It good? The Gathering?

Should’ve let me known. I know Marc from the Net and I know Pappy dog fairly well and a couple fighters, but a couple guys bailed on me at the last minute, so I worked instead. Maybe the fall Gathering?

There was some awesome stuff. There was a bullwhip + knife vs staff fight between two skilled fighters. There was also a guy fighting with two nunchaku that was also very skilled. I’d like to fight at the next one, but I’m thinking I might just go for the knife fights, because I haven’t been training enough stickwork and honestly the sticks still kind of scare me.

Hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff travel to Israel to study one of the deadliest and most effective hand-to-hand combat systems in the world. Specifically designed for the Israeli Defense Forces in the 1940s, Krav Maga is dirty, anything-goes fighting style that is used to disarm and destroy assailants carrying multiple weapons. Our hosts journey to some of the most sacred religious locations in the world as they learn to escape deadly chokes, deflect weapons, and perfect ruthless counterattacks in their quest to become true human weapons. Never before have our hosts learned a martial art that is not only physically demanding, but also a combative necessity in this war-torn country. Their journey ends with a fight against an entire unit of elite-level Krav Maga professionals.

This show appears Friday, August 31, 2007 at 10:00 pm and Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 2:00 AM. I will post additional times as they are available. I get rss feeds for this show from the history channel.

    Episode this week (Aug 24th):
Human Weapon : \”Pankration: The Original Martial Art\”

Episode the week following (Aug 31st )
Human Weapon : \”Krav Maga of the Israeli Commandos\”

Much like the previews, it seems like it will concentrate on the military aspect of it.
