Scholl hit the nail on the head. While getting in real-world confrontations is definately a good way to test your skills and learn your weaknesses the hard way, it’s also a good way to get yourself robbed, stabbed, or shot. The best bet is to look like you’re not the easiest person on the block to mug. I’ve studied quite a few different fighting styles and I haven’t seen one of them (outside of the military) that teaches people how to act outside of confrontations in order to stay safe. I’m sure they cover this in anti-rape courses, but it just seems to get skipped over everywhere else.
