    Re: Dog Attack Defense

Low kicks are definitely effective – I’ve used them on two occasions. An outside slap kick discouraged an advancing dog. The snout is a very sensitive area. Another time, my dog was being mauled and all I could do was send repeated kicks to the balls. Go for whatever opening you can, HARD!

    Re: Shin Guard question

If the foot straps are too tight for wearing over your shoes, try inserting baseballs into them when not in use. Worked for me!

Harbinger’s carries ladies sizes. Mine have lasted long, long time. You can find them at Big 5. Tip: Cut out the round grip embedded in the palm section — Much easier to make a fist, epecially if you have small hands.

Loved it! – the range of defenses shown in such a short amount of time was great – very exciting! Thanks for posting it!

Currently training in Temecula although I did train in LA for several months and visit there when I can. Haven’t made it to SO yet but would like to!

Thanks MJ for the thread – I’ve been lurking far too long now! I enjoy reading the posts and have benefitted from info on this forum. I’ve been training 4+ years now and was hooked after my first class. I studied Shorin-ryu in college and always wanted to get back to martial arts…. without the katas! So, Krav is perfect for me – the simplicity of the defenses combined with aggressive combatives – it just works!
