Re: Bas breaking down Krav gun defenses.

I understand, but from what I heard from my instructor that technique you describe is dangerous, because the attacked can easily pull back on his gun and will shoot you. Then again, I’m just a beginner, so I listen to what I’m told.

I think the Hungarian guy who posted here was called “Peter” and he posted under the name of “whatever”. I think he was one of the most advanced teachers there. He may have been in Budapest.

Where do you train in Hungary? There used to be a guy on this forum, who was an IKMF teacher in Hungary.

Re: Gun defense near a gas pump

It’s good to have such imagination. My instructor always tells me to be aware of my environment and plan ahead for possible scenarios. Don’t be paranoid, but do a bit of mental exercise.

I think we’ve all grown up with movies where the smallest damage to a fuel station would immediately blow it up! 🙂 I don’t think it’s real, but I don’t know the facts.

Just train on innocent pedestrians on the way to work. 😉

Re: just in time for the holidays…

The shape of this thing is weird. The one we use in Hungary looks more like a triangle than a diamond.

Hope you don’t mind I reposted it here: http://www.kravstation.com/video/video/show?id=1275714%3AVideo%3A4342

I’m glad this video doesn’t show that false technique I’ve seen on YouTube somewhere where you grab the gun with both hands and try to point it upwards.
