Re: Moving past level 1 question
Not to worry, you’ll see each of those quite frequently. As long as you keep practicing Krav you’ll keep practicing those basics.

Those are great videos, Ryan.
Thank you for pointing them out.December 20, 2009 at 3:14 pm #79392heyloadMemberRe: Welcome -cmon Introduce Yourself
Hey Dante! Welcome to the forum. You’re right about that Level 1 test yesterday, it was tough. I believe that if it were easy I wouldn’t appreciate it nearly as much, though. Wow, it is really impressive that you did that with only about a month of training! Good luck on the results and we’ll see you in Level 2!

I’ve wanted to take some sort of martial art class for quite a while. I’m finally in a position that I know I’ll be able to make classes on a relatively stable schedule and started to seriously research what to learn. At nearly 42 I’m not interested in tournaments or MMA lead-in training. I just wanted something that is brutally effective when I need it; as someone else on this board has already said, “more martial, less art.” After the research, I knew that Krav Maga is what I wanted to learn. I thouroughly enjoyed my first class and wasted no time in signing up. I have been learning for about 5 months and am as excited about classes now – maybe more so – as I was about the first one.

Awesome video! Thanks, it helped solidify my understanding of what I’m supposed to be doing.

Thanks mara. I’m hoping I can test in November or December; I just have to get my schedule to match the test schedule; I think I’m just about ready for it. As for Pete’s place you’re right, it rocks! I don’t have anything to compare it to, really, but I can tell you that I really appreciate the combination of humor and intensity I’ve seen from all of the instructors.

Hi all! I’m not quite sure where to start, but I’ll try to keep it semi-coherent…
I’ve only been learning Krav Maga for about 5 months now, but I am loving it and am very excited about every new thing I learn in class. I’ve been in the military for over 20 years and due to the transient nature of my job never got into any classes since it was never a sure thing I’d be around to attend more than a few at a time. I managed to stay in ok shape though lots of time in weight rooms. Now I’m in a more stable position and really enjoying taking classes here in San Antonio. I have a lot of cardio to work on – not to mention coordination and flexibility – but am really looking forward to testing into Level 2 at some point.
Glad I found this forum so I can keep learning in my spare time. -
