I did get x-rays, and it is #6 rib on the left side. I’m 50 (18 mentally), and yes it does take longer when you are older-What bothers me more than the rib, is the time loss and starting up again, rusty, after the lay off.
December 3, 2006 at 2:39 pm #51445garyMemberI started at age 49-Thought I was in decent shape-Ohhhhh silly me. I have grown to love the challange and it seems as though, the harder the workout the better I feel, mentally afterwards. It will be a little tough at first, but hang in there, it is going to be one heck of a ride you are going to love!! -I never felt better-Krav was the best workout I could have picked-Great instructor and fellow students just add to it!!!- I will be at it 2 years in March-Time flys when you are having fun!!- Good luck, and go for it!!!

September 3, 2006 at 12:41 am #49462garyMemberJust want to say, how shocked I was and how VERY sad I am to hear of Marnis’ passing.- My sincere condolences go out to Darren and their two lovely daughters. I had no clue that she was even sick. I didn’t personally know her, but I knew of her very well. She took the time to personally e-mail me back, with her busy schedule, concerning an e-mail I sent her about the DVD series.I actually saved the e-mail because I look up to her and Darren as legends in the Krav world. My instructor was just over there at the end of July, and is just totally impressed with the operation that they have. Once again, I just want to say, that I don’t know how to say, just how sorry I am, to the family, and to everyone close to her, that knew and loved her. May GOD bless all! – Gary

February 12, 2006 at 3:18 am #44459garyMemberI train @ PMA, formally MAI Karate in Canton Ct.with chief instructor Chris Pasquini- Awesome set-up, awesome teacher!! No two lessons ever the same.A great expierience and every class is always a fun, learning session because of Chris’s great attitude, personality, and love for what he does. There are many a day, the thought of blowing off class, due to my hectic life, but once I get there I’m like, what was I thinking!! He keeps me going, he is an asset to the art and keeps everyone pumped and craving more.

January 30, 2006 at 5:54 pm #43887garyMemberMake sure you know the seven elbow strikes along with the 360 defense- Also practice up on your combatives that follow up after the choke releases, my teacher was looking for fast , smooth, flowing combatives for follow-ups. Personally, I was a nervous wreck to take the test, but the biggest fear was the anticipation. It ended up being a lot of fun and even though I made some minor errors, I passed. Best advice, don’t get all jazzed up- just think of it as a class, relax and have fun, -You will do fine!!! Let us know how you make out – Good luck, Gary
