Re: Welcome -cmon Introduce Yourself
Greeting from Jacksonville, FL.
I’m 35 and just started KM 2 weeks ago and love it. I’ve been taking the Warrior X Fit classes with my beginner KM classes and am amazed how fast I am starting to strengthen up as well as tone up in such a short period of time.I might leave my classes sore as heck and bruised , but I find myself anticipating going back the next day to do it all again. Maybe I’m nuts but it’s such a good pain and gain.
I’ve done free weight training but it doesn’t compare to how quickly I am gaining strength, endurance, and confidence with XFit/KM training.
If anybody is reading this asking themselves ” should I try Krav Maga” like I was before I enrolled in classes, my answer is most definitely. Do it and you won’t regret it, even if you feel like you were hit by a Mack truck after your first day.

Hi there,
Past practitioner of Goju-Ryu here – new to Krav Maga. I’m into my third week with the studio, and all I can say is that I wish I had tried this long ago! I will probably have lots of questions for the forum, but will research the existing threads thoroughly before asking stuff that may have already been answered.

Hola y’all!
I’m another lurker who finally decided to go to the trouble of logging in. 🙂
Been in Krav for about a year now, the bruises are beginning to accumulate (especially from training with my wife!) – I have yet to see a cure for that in any threads, but I’m pretty sure it’s a wide spread phenomenon.
Cheers!

I would have sworn I had registered on here before, but either all evidence of my previous account was erased, or I never actually registered.
Anyways, I have been training at Simi Valley Krav Maga since May 2010. I ‘recently’ advanced to Level 2 in November after completing Jeremy’s brutal test. I’m a Maritime Enforcement Specialist (ME) 3rd Class in the US Coast Guard, so the no BS approach of Krav Maga appealed to me, especially since KMW has the Force Training Devision that gets into Use of Force policy and tactics for LE units. The other thing that really appealed to me was the transferability of my rank, so I don’t have to start all over again when I transfer. I am fortunate enough to have an awesome teacher in Jeremy Stafford, and intend to glean as much knowledge from him until I transfer next year. My only hope is that my next Krav school be on par with SVKM.

Hi all,
I’m Yehuda (you can call me Yuddy), and I head up the Yale Krav Maga club in New Haven, Connecticut. If you’re in the New Haven area and looking for somewhere to train, come on by! We’re right on Park St, free to train with, and we don’t bite (unless we go to the ground, of course). 😉
I’ve lurked for a few years and now I’m really looking forward to contributing here.
Lots of Krav love,
-Y -
