Congratulations on the fight…That is awesome. I admire you for training hard and having the courage to step into the ring.

No, I think my reply was pretty accurate. I did my research prior to posting (not just skimmed). I guess that is why I said that I could not resist. I know exactly what \”spilled over\” from the other forum.

I read where one of our posts was used to compare us to a call girl arguing about territory on a street corner. I also read about the poor quality of instructors and instructor training. And, I see where Darren Levine’s success as a lawyer was compared to his ability to instruct. I even had the opportunity to read a post from the president of KM Federation stating to Moti r that the bickering and name calling was childish, but if you read the posts they still continue (according to the post dates)

So, my point is this…the situation has been perpetuated and fuel has been given to the fire. There is a lot of negative energy that has been devoted to this…I am saying spend the energy a little more positively. Take that energy and transform it. Take that energy and help the system grow regardless of where you train. It is apparent that there are certain individuals who need to grow.

I am sorry, I usually stay out of discussions of this kind. I usually try to read and post positive comments towards people and their acheivements within this wonderful system. I cannot let it go…

I have a hard time reading through this…If half of the negative energy spent on this thread was spent in your own personal development and training you would not even have to argue. Your personal development would be recognized by others and it would speak for itself. It really reminded me of when I was teaching middle school–honestly!

I failed to see the insults on this forum that were talked about regarding the people of KMWW–extensively. I feel like I might have missed something so I re-read it over several times. I guess all those years teaching English and time and money spent for my degree were for nothing. I could not find it. It seems as if some of us have a lot of time on our hands and read too far into things looking for arguments. Again, spend that time developing your self.

Whether they were joking or not there was a lot of insults brought in from the outside (spilled over into the forum) that anyone with any kind of background with \”wits\” or debates would know automatically nullifes your point. I know I stopped listening.

Opinions are great…everyone has one. I actually like listening to others when they have valid points.

Stop perpetuating the situation and move on…

For the record, I can say this because I have been in the classes of some of the greatest instructors in the world:

I have never had the honor of being instructed by Darren Levine, however I did get to see him teach. It is part of what directed me into the path of Krav Maga. I was so impressed! I have had the pleasure of being trained under John Whitman. What a great experience. These two opitimize professionalism and what it is to be a true instructor. For the record…I hope I become half of the instructor that either of these two are.

I agree with Christian as well. We have been working on some scenarios as well…this is definitely training that most people do not get to touch upon too often.

That would be awesome. I am getting excited. Hopefully the next camp will not be too far away.

Any word on roughly when the Pelligrino seminar will be? I am going to try to plan a community event and would not want to miss out on getting up there again.

You need to definitely make sure that you are using proper form when doing lunges. You are probably putting too much stress on the front knee. The same will be true with your squats. You will find that your knees will hurt through improper form.

    Glenn,

Things in Charleston are outstanding…getting better and better. How are things in your neck of the woods.

I am curious to know our mutual acquaintance…that would be a small world. Thanks for dropping me a line. I look forward to talking with you soon.

    Ryan,

I think that the next camp should include some of the same concepts. Quite honestly I think it is invaluable to our training. I cannot say enough great things about that kind of training.

I would like to see some ground work. We covered some really great situations on the ground. Maybe some more of that in the next camp.

I will ponder this a bit further but that is my current favorite topic.

Thanks for the advice Christian…I have been concentrating on it from the moment that I have arrived home.

I am in agreement with the last post; for most people. It will all depend on the individual of course. I have seen some people in outstanding physical and mental condition crack under pressure.

I think is is also crucial to be a part of an existing Krav Maga school and attend instructor training. There have been many people who attempt this without the proper guidance of a certified instructor and fail miserably.

No sense in putting that kind of time and effort into something without being absolutely prepared.

    Pellegrino Seminar…

    Ryan,

As always, let me know the weekend and I will also bring my students. We are so looking forward to training up there at RHEK…It is the best.

You will always have my support. You guys are doing amazing things.

    Thanks again.
