    Re: Legality of intervention

This all makes me think of a show ABC called What Would You Do? Its a hidden camera show that shows what people would really do and if they would intervene in situations like this. Not really assualt/murder situations, but still very interesting and suprising to watch.

Re: New IDF Weapon – When does it come to Krav?

Another funny IDF weapon is the kitty corner shot. Its a gun that shoots around corners while being diguised with a stuffed cat.

    Heres a picture:

Re: Handling threats in high school

    quote blitzshlag:

Nobody’s going to convict you of any crime for a fight you didn’t start.

Not necessarily. High schools today (at least mine) are alot more strict about that. Just recently two kids at my school got into a fight. The one guy punched the other guy from behind, so the other guy promptly turned around and fought back. Both got in trouble. In fact, despit there being eyewitness saying he didn’t start the fight, the guy that got hit got in more trouble because he was the first one the teacher saw.

So yeah, when it comes to high school, don’t always think claiming self defense will protect you.

    Re: Open Hand or Punch

Personally, I prefer to punch. Something about palm strikes just feels awkward.

Ooh good choice. Heavy stuff like this is great pump-you-up music.

Re: Thinking about joing Krav Maga ??

I was in the same place as you. I’m 15 and I had no martial arts experience. I started taking classes very recently and I love it. Krav is very easy to learn. My school has teens classes so I don’t know about the whole “watering it down” thing. Just try it and see if you like it!

I agree. yoga does wonders for flexibility

    Re: Splinter Cell

    quote greenbeanie:

Sam Fisher is the reason I looked into trying Krav Maga. I was in an airport looking for some reading material for my plane ride to Charleston, South Carolina. I picked up Tom Clancyís Splinter Cell: Operation Barracuda. When I got to page nine in the paperback book, Sam Fisher mentioned the following: ìHeís halfway in the process of drawing a Makarov when I deliver a Krav Maga ax kick to his chest.î I underlined Krav Maga ax kick because I didnít know what it was. I knew what a Tae kwon do ax kick was, but what was a Krav Maga ax kick?

Several days later, when I returned home, I looked up Krav Maga on the Web. I ended up on the Krav Maga Worldwide site. After finding out what Krav Maga was all about, I was curious to see if there were any Krav Maga locations in my area. To my utter surprise, there was a training center less than 5 minutes drive from where I work.

This is the same way I found Krav Maga. Good to know i’m not the only one!

Thanks everyone! I ended up getting a 120″ pair and they fit great.

    Re: Krav Maga and teens?

My school has classes for kids (kmx) and teens. The kids class is 7-12 I believe. The teens class is so they wont, at first, be placed in a primarily adult class.

Re: Instructor Quality Question in Ohio

Fight Fit is where I plan to take classes. Has anyone here ever taken the teen classes? If so, how are they? I’m trying to gather as much info as I can before enroll.

    Re: The price you pay

I’m new and haven’t actually started classes yet, but the price I was told was 90$ for 3 months. This is for teen classes once a week for one hour.
