Re: Commando Krav Maga / CKM / Moni Aizik
Okay, thanks. I’m done here!!! Seems maybe the entire Krav community is just a pack of wannabees and just feel the need to stand behind a keyboard and run off!!!
Admin, please remove my profile from this nonsenical Forum.
Thanks!!!
I’m out!!

Well, I’m a newb here and just stumbled on this thread. I don’t believe the population should be subjected to this level of BS. If I had an opinion, I would prefer you all take this to PM, if you want to continue this nonsense. I am especially taken aback by those of you who are, or claim to be cops, who have chosen to engage this thread and vent your anger and opinion. You become upset with something this trivial and jump on the bandwagon here and yet your agency turns you loose on the street with a weapon???? Just goes to show you that the physic testing for cops could be improved upon!
Anyway, being new here, my view of this thread is that all this rhetoric is just a bunch of drama and would seem to perpetuate a consensus of some who believe KM is made up of a bunch of musclehead brawlers/bar bouncers. As this thread goes on, I’m waiting for someone to drop a challenge and meet up on the playground. And, if you play the, “If you don’t like it, don’t read it” card, that just further validates my point.
Just my 2 cents.

That sucks!!!!! I love my Italians!!! Since moving from Orange County, I’m not able to surf as I don’t get home often enough. So, I use the bikes to feed my need.

For those of you who have PM’d me, the supplement I am talking about here is sold only at GNC presently. Traing Day – that’s the name of the company – has an exclusive with GNC for a few moths yet. But, I was speaking with Dan at TTraining Day. He is going to talk to the admin here to discuss the possibility of offering special pricing for Krav members. Apparently, they can sell outside of GNC, if it goes thru their website. I just tried the Berry flavored “Game Time” energy supplement. This one, as with the others, has a good taste. Taste is sometime the reason I won’t take certain supplements.
Anyway, I like this stuff!

Yeah, but it would have been a better post if she had said she kicked him in the nuts and left him in the middle of the street!!!:box:

Kinda like this?!?!?!
quote leejam99:here’s one of my favorite level 1 drill. simple and fun. pick A and B. A hold the tombstone pad. B punchers. B’s closed their eyes and spins around in place as fast as they can. While B is spinning, A’s move around the room. They can hide behind each other or even go out of the room. When the instructor yells “GO”, B’s open their eyes, get to the partner and punches. Its pretty entertaining to see the people open their eyes and start wobbling sideways trying to get to their partner IF they find them.January 9, 2009 at 7:37 pm #72308workin4alivinMemberRe: Howdy from Denver
Hey Mike!! Thanks for the reply and welcome!! Yeah, I like to think that I am in pretty fair shape, regardless of age. But, the kicks and punches do take their toll! Aikido wasn’t nearly as demanding on my cardio/respiratory system. But, I’m having fun and aside from the occassional shot to the groin, I’m having fun!!

oh, don’t get me wrong, I felt like I worked. But, it was for the ROM, or I don’t think I would have. Likely because I didn’t use enough weight. But, the cardio component was good for sure!!

For sure! The full extension is where I felt the most work!

Wow!! Well, I’m not a big guy and 35’s were farily easy to move around. Makes me further believe he was just using light weight to get through the making of the video??

rofl2:dunno:47. But, I look like I’m 30!!!
January 8, 2009 at 3:36 pm #72265workin4alivinMemberRe: Bad punch/kick form ok in Krav?
Newb here chiming in.Please feel free to advise me to leave the two cents to the pros. But, one point I wanted to reply to is the leaving oneself open when delivering the #2 punch. I noticed that in my class as well. And, my first thought was that there was more attention to the delivery at first and a we’ll work on form later. But, I don’t think my instructor would get the ball rolling while developing habits that would later require attention. I think, after a few clases, it is more that by the time one is delivering the number two punch, you have made the burst inside and are on top of and just overwhelming your father-in-law, oops, I mean your opponent with numerous blows before retracting??!!
January 8, 2009 at 3:23 pm #72264workin4alivinMemberRe: grapplers circut
Agreed. I have to think he was going at this just for the sake of pushing out the exercises for the benefit of the viewer. Given the fact he was using such light weight, maybe this is more for cardio? He can obviously pump out more than a couple of 45 lb plates!? And, the ROM can’t provide much work on the muscle group??!! Kinda reminds me of, what I refer to as, “The Homeboy Pushup”. You know, a modified military push up..hands and elbows tucked in, starting from about 2″ off the deck extending to about 5″ off the deck.”Hey, I can do 200 push up in 60 seconds!”
January 8, 2009 at 5:39 am #72259workin4alivinMemberRe: grapplers circut
So, I’m new to KM. As with most everything I do, gonna go at it full forward; Complete Krav book, gear, etc. So, did the Grapplers Circuit this evening. Pretty cool!! I normally run two-four miles then go into a 1.5 to 2 hour routine depending on the targeted muscule groups. Today was suppose to be an off day. So, I gave this a whirl. Used only 35 lb weights vs. the 45 in the video. The Good Mornings were tough around the third set! I can totally see how this routine can develop and enhance the “Explosive” movement necessary in Krav!!!
