    Re: Schools south of Chicago?

Try POW! gym. They have been teaching Krav Maga for over a decade and have experienced and helpful staff and instructors. You can find them here-http://www.powkickboxing.com/ Hope this helps.

    Re: Darren’s Seminar in NC

Apparently you can’t edit your post as efficiently as before, but I did want to add something. In terms of missing capability, I am referring in general to all self-defense outlets, not relagating my statements to KM. Simply because I tend to be Pedantic :Surprised: and hate being taken out of context.

Come out of the cubby hole already.

Hey Bro, nice to hear from you. The Darren Seminar was Fantastic. It was summed up well by others already. I will add that seeing him teach is everything I’ve heard it was and a tad more. Passion, and capability are missing from many instructors today, its not the case with Darren. Hope to see you at the Fall Camp, and hopefully you can return a message or two…, yeah i know, like I have room to speak.

    Re: Amateur MMA

    quote Mike P:

    Amazing!!

All of your fighters looked like they were in unbelievable condition. What did their training regimen entail?

As stated previously, they all have day jobs, so all the training was done in the evenings. On the weekend they usually did two-a-days. On some occasions they did more. A big part is conditioning drills and sparring(mostly light sparring, but its was important they banged 85-90% contact every week). Maybe the two biggest understated parts to their victory were the quality of the training location(both staff and owner included), and a high caliber coach. So there is no misunderstanding, I am not their coach, just a training partner.

    Re: Amateur MMA

“I thought they did a great job. I had to rewatch the 3rd fight. I didn’t see the jab at the end. I thought the other fighter had just lost his footing.”

It was so quick that his opponent didn’t see it either. I just wanted to pay testament to these guys. They worked countless hours during what free time they had, including weekends, so their ring transition would be seemless.

I still don’t get it. Your so angry and crass in your posts on Bas’ forum, but here you are busting chops over use of the word ignorant. Ah…, ok?

But most importantly, all our info is out in the open. You make a lot of claims about yourself, while slandering others. Odd for someone who tries to rely on forum anonymity. And its curious that you \”caught\” us, when I post under my real name, Detective. I have NC on my location marker. And everyone on the forum(appearently besides you) know I go to Ryan’s school. Another important question is why would we try to hide that fact?

Since your a LEO, you have a boss and commanding officer, right? So even though you are emloyeed by them, you mean to say you walk locked step with them always? And if you agree with them on an issue, should that be discounted simply because you \”work\” for them, or worse does it make you wrong?

Your saying your this, and your that, but who are you. Its a rhetorical question, and I don’t care. I do however care when my name is mentioned in big \”NC identity conspiracies\”, with no endgame to said conspiracy(dont know how it got to be such a big deal).Anyway, I’m also done with this discussion.
    P.S.
All this info was found without a Degree in Criminal Justice.

I wonder how much breeding it takes to get a horse that high. Let alone the sheer effort it takes to get on and off such an animal.

Anyway, you caught us Tomoe, good work. I’m certainly a ignorant hack, that’s a compulsive liar. In fact, I don’t really work for Ryan, cause we are the same person a l· \”Fight Club\”.

    This thread has become obsolete.

Hey Mark, its tragic you had to have a violent encounter like that, let alone in front of your family. None the less, job well done. If at all possible, please stop by the school this Saturday. Ryan and Jeff are both out of town. But we would still like you to come by, as I’m sure you were going to anyway.

You subtly \”come off\” as insulting to GK, by stating numerous facts, and that its all about getting home safely(which it is) and basically stating, that GK doesn’t need to be concerned, and should go about GK’s business.(Which we all should on this thread) Essentially dismissing GK’s inquires. It’s no different then what was said previously, especially taking into account their history of forum discussions.

And last time I checked ignorance isn’t an insult, rather a adjective describing ones lack of knowledge in a certain area, especially if it applies to the recipient.
By the way, you assumed/proved GK to be \”ignorant\” of the need for \”secrecy\”, so you espoused some facts to englighten, right?
Like I said, no matter how you say things sometimes, they just won’t come out cordial. And despite what you appearently might be thinking, I don’t speak pejoratively to, or of my students.

Tomoe, you realise you just did exactly what you chastised another instructor for. As you might have just realised, on a forum , often times there’s no way to make a point without coming off as abrasive, irregadless of intent.

If he doesn’t submit him within 5 minutes,
Bas KO by left shovel shot, followed by right shin kick or cross.
