quote KevinMack:Here is a great example of how effective the combat slap is.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsrABoQ2xzUThe guy who got hit actually died from that slap when his head hit the ground.
Man, that guy never saw it coming.

So, the boy is attacked by a bully….defends himself…..is accused of sexual harassment then is transferred to a new school.
I wonder what happened to the bully that started this incident. I also wonder if the school system has bus monitors and what happened to them after allowing this boy to be placed in a situation that he had to defend himself.

There is Krav Maga training in Springfield. But they aren’t associated with KMWW.

quote Jeremy Stafford:Posters like you are the reason most expert level practitioners and Black Belt level Instructors avoid this board like the plague.I understand why, but it’s sad. There is a ton of knowledge and experience on this forum. When I first joined this group I went through and read every past post of many people, several that responded to this thread. I can tell you it left me hungry for more.

Stupid rules!
Don’t do stupid things.
Don’t go stupid places.
Don’t hangout with stupid people.Of course I didn’t follow any of those stupid rules till I was about 40.

I am not a Krav instructor, but I have been an instructor in other things. Here is what immediately comes to my mind.
Hunger for knowledge. Does the student want to KNOW the subject or is this just something to do?
Willingness to give it all they have. Are they giving just enough to be the best in this class, better than most in the class or are they really trying to better themselves? In other words, the more heart the better.

quote shelbyblue:Yes I work in a prison and been attacked by inmates and the instinctual nature of krav makes you react qiuckly. Two palm heel stikes and a groin kick will do it.Did you learn KM at the Corrections Academy or was it on your own?
There wasn’t any self defense training when I went through my states academy many years ago.
